Security and patient-data boundaries
Eligibility Hub keeps patient work in the clinical hub and keeps this website and the customer portal free of patient data. Each practice's data is isolated, patient data in the hub is encrypted in transit and at rest, and production transmission is switched on per practice only after agreements are signed and the practice approves.
Two places, two kinds of data
Patient-specific work happens in one place. Everything you see on this website and in the customer portal is business information.
Website and customer portal
Business data and aggregate figures only.
- Practice setup status and agreements
- Credentialing application status
- Billing, invoices and the collections basis
- Aggregate reports, with no claim-level detail
Clinical hub
Where patient-specific work happens, on its own origin.
- Eligibility checks and verification requests
- Claims, remittances and posting
- Denials, evidence packets and appeals
- Per-practice isolation and field-level encryption
Safeguards
- A HIPAA Business Associate Agreement with every practice
- Subcontractors (clearinghouse, cloud hosting, database) are bound by their own agreements before patient data reaches them
- Each practice's data is isolated. No practice can see another's claims, remittances or patients.
- Patient data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Member IDs and appeal letters are also encrypted at the field level.
- Production transmission is switched on per practice only after the agreements are signed and the practice approves
- Test mode never sends real patient data to the clearinghouse
- A full audit trail of every check, submission, posting and appeal action
What we never ask for in setup
Your practice enters these itself, in the payer's or agency's own system.
- Payer, PECOS or CAQH passwords
- Social Security numbers
- Bank account numbers
Questions
Do you sign a Business Associate Agreement?
Yes, with every practice. It is signed in the first phase of switching, before any patient data is exchanged. Accepting website terms is not the same as signing a BAA.
Can I send patient details through this website or the customer portal?
No. Patient-specific work stays in the clinical hub. Contact forms, support tickets and the portal assistant are for business questions only.
What does the portal assistant do?
The portal has an assistant that answers questions about your setup, credentialing, billing and how the service works. Patient-specific work stays in the clinical hub.
Who switches on production claims?
Production transmission is switched on per practice only after the agreements are signed and the practice approves. Paying for the service does not switch it on.
